The Associate Vice President for Finance and Budget (AVP) is a 12-month full-time, Supportive Professional Staff position. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Administration & Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the AVP is responsible for all financial operations of the university including treasury services, the controller’s office, budget office, financial systems, and the bursar’s office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Budget and Financial Planning: Advises and guides University leadership on long- and short-term institutional financial planning. Provides strategic leadership in advancing a financial planning and analysis operation. Enhances the quality of insight generation using scenario planning, analytics, and metrics. Works closely with appropriate University leaders to analyze and forecast current and future revenue and cost projections. Coordinates detailed financial research and analysis to benchmark the University with peers. Ensures that the policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls support the strategic goals of a leading research university. Financial Operations: Manages all facets of financial affairs in a fiscally responsible manner. Provides regular periodic interim financial reports. Leads efforts relative to shaping the investment policy for the University’s short-term cash portfolio. Strategic Collaboration and Initiatives: Collaborates with campus partners to explore continuous operational improvement opportunities. Provides direct management of the university’s Central Services division. Supervision: Plans, documents, manages, and mentors the performance of subordinate managers and staff. Minimum Required Qualifications (SPS): Undergraduate degree in Accountancy/Finance/related field or equivalent work experience. Five years of demonstrated progressive professional financial experience. Knowledge of various financial principles, practices, and applications. Appointment and Compensation Details

Salary:
