We are looking for a dynamic individual

to lead our clients and operations team in the ideation of service excellence in Conference Planning, Audio Visual and Meeting Management. This position will oversee multiple locations across the US with some potential interface internationally.Qualified candidates will be based in the Maryland, Virginia, or DC area, have 8+ years of experience in leading larger teams in conference planning, meeting management, in an upscale corporate or hotel environment, having the ability to drive and evolve the business model.Key Responsibilities:

Meets commitment to results for all areas of responsibilitiesDirects business to achieve high performance as measured by the company scorecardSuccessfully builds relationships at all levels of the organizationsIdentifies client's needsCommunicates account progress and new Company programs to clientConducts and/or manages customer, client and associate satisfaction surveysVisits clients and accounts regularlyDelivers the corporate communications and priorities to both the region team members and clientsBuilds an effective and results achieving team within the divisionCommunicates effectively with all team membersEnsures that all direct reports take specific action to correct issues at client units that do not attain corporate levels of satisfactionDevelops and monitors realistic and accurate budget and forecastsEnsures that the Division is meeting financial performance and client forecastsParticipates in the sales process by working with pre-proposal site survey team, aiding in presentations, aiding in negotiation and approving of final contactEnsures that Operations Team members are performing their responsibilities effectivelyPreferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience8+ years of experience in leading larger teams in conference planning, meeting management, in an upscale corporate or hotel environment - requiredMulti-account (preferably on a national level) management experienceExperience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planningAbility to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptionsMust be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar factsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPointMust be based within a commutable distance of listed location with ability to travel approximately 50%Apply to Compass Group today!Click here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
