Civil Engineer Intern - Water/Wastewater - The Woodlands, TX
Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Water/Wastewater team in our Woodlands, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will help with drainage and stormwater analysis and design and support Water & Wastewater Utility projects, including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction. The Intern will help perform water resources design, support projects in water resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks as needed.
Civil Engineer Intern - Water/Wastewater Responsibilities:Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional EngineerHelp design drainage and stormwater analysis and designSupport Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and constructionAssist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projectsPerform drafting CAD workPerform calculations and analysis for design projectsAssist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documentsCoordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractorsAttend meetings with clients and regulatory agenciesCivil Engineer Intern - Water/Wastewater Requirements:
Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degreeExperience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is requiredGreat communication skillsSolid relationship and team building skillsSelf-motivated and strong organization skills
Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.
