Major Responsibilities:Working collaboratively with the Clinical Staffing Medical Director, directs the administrative team in the development and implementation of anesthesia clinical provider work schedules for both the operating room (OR) and non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) sites.Collaborates with division chiefs, chief CRNAs, Medical Center perioperative leadership and department senior administration to optimize resource utilization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and alignment with the perioperative block schedule.Serves as the scheduling software system expert by interfacing with the vendor to troubleshoot issues and maintain optimal performance of the system. This includes maximizing efficiency gained with new releases of the software.Automates processes to leverage the software system to decrease the timeline required to generate the schedules.Trains providers and administrative staff on productive use of the software.II. Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:Required:Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, data analytics or a related field.Possesses an analytical mindset and asks thoughtful questions.Possesses high emotional intelligence and good communication skills.Facility with software systems and IT solutions.Demonstrated ability to deal with complex matrixed systems. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Good project management skills required. QGenda or other scheduling software knowledge is a plus. The ability to cooperate and collaborate with multiple parties and vendors is essential.Preferred:Master's in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a Computer Science field is a plus.Experience/Skill:Required:5 years of experience in scheduling or manipulating large data sets.Ease in using and optimizing software systems.Demonstrated proficiency in analysis and reporting.Demonstrated initiative, good judgement and effective decision-making skills; exhibits strong process improvement orientation and achieves results through programs and other individuals.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and interact with all levels of management.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, to work autonomously, and organize, coordinate and monitor project work.Excellent oral and written skills required.Proven work experience as a director or similar role including the management of staff.Preferred:Prior healthcare or academic medicine background.
