Today, FIU serves a diverse student body of more than 56,000 and 290,000 Panther alumni.Job SummaryThe Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking an HR Manager of Faculty Affairs to join our team of professionals.Duties Include:Manages the faculty appointment renewal process, collaborating with Department Chairs, Office of Medical Education, HWCOM Finance, and Dean's Office. Provides guidance regarding changes to current appointments in alignment with HWCOM and university practice and regulations.Responsible for the HWCOM faculty appointments and onboarding process of paid faculty, ensuring compliance with university guidelines, policies, regulations, and applicable employment laws.Ensures all clinical/medical licenses, specialty, and board certification for all clinical faculty and staff are entered accurately in PantherSoft, issuing reports and conducting analysis to ensure no clinical/medical license or board certification expires.Conducts compensation analysis for faculty positions, collaborating with the HR leadership team to provide feedback and recommendations.Assists in the development and implementation of projects designed to improve operational procedures and ensure the efficient functioning of faculty affairs.Responsible for the development and management of faculty affairs reporting, including AAMC, HIPAA, FERPA, Conflict of Interest, and any ad hoc reports required for accreditation purposes.Develops working relationships with HWCOM department contacts, university business units, and administrators to facilitate HR faculty affairs operations.Performs essential duties in emergencies such as hurricanes and storms, and is expected to report to work as needed during university emergency closings.Performs other related duties as required and deemed appropriate to the accomplishment of the responsibilities and functions of the department.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of professional human resources experience.Desired QualificationsPrevious experience managing faculty affairs matters.Job CategoryAdministrativeAdvertised Salary$62,000-$68,000Work ScheduleBegin time: 8:30 AMEnd time: 5:00 PMPre-Employment RequirementsExpanded Background CheckHow To ApplyCurrent EmployeeAs a current employee, you must log into Employee Self Service (ESS) to apply for this and any other internal career opportunity of interest.Prospective EmployeeIf you have not created a registered account, you will be asked to create a username and password for use of the system.
