We employ around 1,500 people at 16 production sites in America, Europe, Asia and Africa, offering them a wide range of tasks and development opportunities.WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERSThe Senior Legal Counsel is a high-visibility position and will provide legal counsel, direction, and services to POLYVANTIS US and its subsidiaries and affiliates in the Americas region. This position has responsibility for all legal and compliance matters, and will carry out assignments and representation of Business Units with a high degree of independence and integrity. The position will actively participate in a team environment, and will promote and maintain the principles of and responsibilities related to the company’s code of conduct within his/her assigned areas of responsibilityWHAT YOU WILL DOLead regional compliance function in conjunction with the Company’s policies and proceduresAdvise management on employment, antitrust, commercial, and corporate legal matters and provide legal guidance and solutionsDraft, review, prepare, and negotiate various commercial agreements pertaining to the Company’s Business Units and, when appropriate, Company’s affiliatesPro-actively identify and escalate, as necessary, issues to the Global Head of Legal and regional leadership, and assist in their resolutionAssist with developing legal strategy for the CompanyWork with and manage outside counsel as neededAssist with training management and colleagues on various legal topics as may be neededSupport board office and corporate secretary functionEstablish and foster good working relationships with regional and global colleaguesAssist/handle special projects as neededRemote position: Travel (some international) may be required (15-25%)WHAT WE ARE SEEKINGJD from an ABA accredited law school with solid academic credentials.State law license in good standingMinimum of 5 years legal experience with a major law firm, regulatory agency, and/or business entityIn-house experience preferredPrevious exposure to manufacturing business environment preferredExperience with advising management on legal mattersSelf-motivated and capable of routinely managing work with minimal direction; excellent follow up skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlinesAbility to draft complex concepts and agreementsHigh level of interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentWHAT WE OFFERWe listen: Your ideas along our corporate values of creativity, openness, responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit are important to us.Coverage: Long-term account, group accident insurance, support for caring for relatives, sickness benefit subsidyHealth and social affairs: Prevention programs, social and employee counseling...and much more.
