Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Principal / Senior Managing Consultant level individual with experience in the Offshore Wind and/or other energy development markets. Primary desired experience in the New England Regional area, but applications for other regional experience along the US East Coast are welcome. Ideally, successful candidate would be based in either our Boston, MA, Portland, ME, or New York offices. Your tasks and responsibilities: Business development and project management along environmental and social impact assessments in support of offshore wind development and other development projects Management and interface between local US clients and teams in Europe Coordination of project developments in the bid and execution phases Clear understanding of the complex processes, standards and legislation underpinning ESIA projects nationally and internationally Robust management of the often conflicting demands of client, funder, government agencies, communities and other stakeholders Ability to mobilize local resources and expertise to ensure local relevance and realize the project's socioeconomic benefits Technical excellence in delivering and transferring best practice Credibility, objectivity and authority critical to commanding the respect of stakeholders, environmental groups and the international community Sound commercial approach, which delivers value through enhanced client reputation, flexibility and certainty of outcome
Your qualifications B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree and registrations in relevant engineering or scientific discipline A minimum of 20 years of working experience in Environmental & Social Impact Assessments and project management Professional experience within offshore wind energy and other development projects Profound industry knowledge, comprehensive insights of markets, players and trends Proven track record, industry reputation and network
