Cpl Life Sciences is working with a global leader in synthetic peptide and oligonucleotide production, who is seeking a
full-time Business Development professional to drive sales and growth in the Midwest region.
As a key member of the Sales and Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in
expanding our client base, particularly in GMP accounts, and contributing to our success in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
Oversee sales activities in the Midwest region, ensuring alignment with the company’s business plan. Monitor monthly sales to ensure targets are met and prepare annual sales forecasts.
Budget Management:
Establish and manage the annual sales budget, securing approval from the President.
Business Development:
Identify and develop new key accounts, focusing on GMP accounts, including NCE and generic products.
GMP Support:
Provide up-to-date market insights on GMP opportunities to inform production strategies.
Marketing Collaboration:
Work with the marketing team to identify strategic trade shows and sales events, and to develop new product releases and website updates.
Conference Participation:
Represent the company at industry conferences, including the annual Global Therapeutic Peptide Symposium.
Client Presentations:
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to executive-level clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in
chemistry, Life Sciences,
or a related field.
2-3 years of recent sales experience in CDMO, peptide, API, or small molecule sectors.
Strong track record in business development and sales, with a
focus on peptides.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Willingness to travel, including to client sites and conferences, both domestically and internationally.
Location:
Midwest or North Carolina, with the flexibility for remote work.
Compensation:
$85,000 – $115,000 USD, with potential flexibility for the right candidate.
