Senior Product Manager - Technical, Amazon

We're on a mission to rewrite the rules of eCommerce by giving customers entirely new ways to engage with Amazon. With AI, we're unlocking the potential to turn information into useful knowledge, making it easier for customers to find exactly what they're looking for and get things done. We are working backwards from a vision of conversational, contextual, and interactive experience that helps customers find answers to product questions, perform product comparisons, receive product suggestions, and more -- in a store that sells everything.Introducing: Rufus! Rufus is Amazon’s expert shopping assistant trained on Amazon’s product catalog and information from across the web to answer customer questions on shopping needs, products, and comparisons, make recommendations based on this context, and facilitate product discovery in the same Amazon shopping experience customers use regularly. As the Senior Product Manager - Tech (PMT) for the Rufus Conversational UI foundations, you will own the core UI library (components, patterns, primitives) and interaction frameworks (server-driven UI) that enables the frontend experience across all conversational interactions with Rufus. The product leader in this role must demonstrate Think Big, Customer Obsession, Dive Deep, Invent and Simplify, and navigate ambiguous and complex scenarios (industry-wide and Amazon-specific) to deliver a portfolio of experiences to customers in a way that feels intuitive, predictable, and helpful. With the rapid expansion of Rufus across surfaces (Amazon App, PC Browser, and Mobile Browser), this product leader will own the vision, development, launch, and continuous improvement of a new UI rendering framework and design system that will enable the Rufus experience to scale across all endpoints, locales, and use cases – with a specific emphasis on enabling teams across Amazon to accelerate the velocity of launching features with Rufus. You will work with talented engineers, UX designers, program managers, scientists, and product managers to innovate on behalf of our customers. The right person has technical understanding of frontend rendering technologies and the nuances of building UI experiences across mobile and web browsers. The right candidate must also have strong customer obsession, be comfortable with a high level of ambiguity, able to build repeatable and scalable processes, and can deliver as an independent operator, skilled at aligning resources and working cross-team to deliver on behalf of our customers. If you're fired up about being part of a dynamic, driven team, then this is your moment to join us on this exciting journey!Key job responsibilities
