Role Description:
Huitt-Zollars Inc. is seeking an experienced water resources engineer for an immediate part-time opportunity in their Dallas office. Preference is a licensed engineer in the state of Texas with 20 years of experience. Experience in the Dallas area is desired. The role will include providing senior oversight of a diverse range of stormwater projects in addition to business development. The position will include working collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering analysis and design for public works infrastructure, urban development, and transportation projects.Location:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).Duties:
Perform Quality Control reviews of a wide range of hydrology, hydraulics, scour, and geomorphic projectsMentor EIT, PE, and Project Management staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic designMentor staff in Project Management and Task Management activities for water resources projectsPerform business development activities including client relationship development, preparation of Statement of Qualifications and proposalsWrite and coordinate preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documentsKey Responsibilities:
Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients and may be responsible for a stated portion of office sales goal.Successfully and consistently functions as Lead Principal-in-Charge for their designated Practice Area in geographic market.Competent, knowledgeable, service leader in the market(s) they service.Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives.Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project.Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget.Proactively works with PM to strategize resolving issues that impact project performance.Successfully contributes to the overall profitability and financial performance on projects.Oversees staff deliverables and production assigned to their projects.Role Competencies:
