Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices inChandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.Job MissionAs a Software Engineer you will work on developing and maintaining application software for Data Products. You would work with Systems and Algorithms engineers to collect and refine requirements for the project you are working on. Using those requirements, you will formulate designs, implement those designs, and then unit test them. You will also work with architects and database engineers that help you in this process. You would then work with our SQA team to verify those implementations so they can be released to the field.Duties and Responsibilities

Collect and refine software requirements, and document those requirements in our Requirements Management tool.Create detailed design documentation that describes implementations that address previously collected requirements.Code and unit test per design documentation.Integrate new code into the existing code base.Work with SQA to ensure proper verification coverage.Investigate defects in existing software, propose solutions to resolve those defects.Create release documentation, including release notes and upgrade procedures.Other duties as assigned.Education and experience

B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering3 - 5 years development experience.Highly skilled in Core JavaAdvantageous to have knowledge of postgres, Shell scripting, C/C++DevOps (Jenkins, SVN(GitHub) Source Management/Version Control Systems, build automation, Testing)Extensive experience with Object Oriented Design and ProgrammingExperience with one or more flavors of Linux (Redhat, CentOS, Rocky Linux)CORBA protocol or other RPC knowledgeNetwork Knowledge (Client/Server, TCP/IP protocol, etc.)Build automation - Gradle, Ant build, Eclipse, etcProblem solving for escalation (Data and log Analysis)Knowledge of software engineering processes, including Software configuration management and the ability to read and create appropriate project documentation.Skills

Strong communication skills - both written and oral.Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Ability to use Microsoft office products Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.Other InformationThis position is located in San Diego, CA. It works on a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite/2 days remote. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
