Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) position is an integral part of the Company's sales growth strategy and we are looking for a highly motivated individual that will be responsible for relationship management with travel advisors, identifying new business opportunities, achieving financial goals in the assigned territory, and maintaining extensive knowledge of competitive market conditions.

Primary Duties:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Travel Advisor Sales including Home Based Independent ContractorsAccount management of current clientsDevelopment of new travel agency accountsTrade events and onsite / online trainingExtensive travel required throughout the region including hosting of travel advisors and FAM trips to domestic and international destinations.Participate in trade shows, seminars, and industry events, as requiredMust be able to work nights and weekendsPerforms other duties as assignedPrerequisites:

This highly motivated person must have:

Previous BDM experience in the territory preferred.3+ years of relevant travel industry experience with a proven track record of sales growth in leisure travelExcellent communication and presentation skillsExtensive travel agency contacts and National / Consortia relationshipsSuccess developing FIT, Groups and Wedding/Honeymoon travel businessMust be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skillsMeet all Safe Business Driving Program requirements including verification of driving record and possession of valid driver's license.

Location:

Territory consists of New York & New Jersey. Candidate must reside in territory and within 60 miles of JFK, LGA or EWR airport.

Offer includes a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance incentives, medical, dental, vision and travel benefits plus a 401(k) savings plan.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is on a base salary plus incentive program with unlimited earning potential based upon the achievement of certain corporate financial and personal business goals and objectives for Pleasant Holidays; most earn between $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
