has partnered with one of the oldest, most reputable investment advisors in the country to find a Business Development Director of Insurance in Boston, MA (this role may also be based in Naples, FL or Winter Park, FL).

The Business Development Director of Insurance is responsible for developing and maintaining an active funnel of life insurance opportunities at the company. There are two primary channels for this role to develop business: Internal (estimated at 25% of opportunities) and External (estimated at 75%+ of opportunities: Green Field). The Business Development Director will serve as a liaison and relationship coordinator for the company's strategic partnership with an external organization. They will build a business line that supports overall financial planning capabilities for existing relationships while establishing a new channel of opportunity.

This position upholds the company's core values by demonstrating the ability to find life insurance solutions for current and new clients tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, the Director will collaborate with financial professionals and external partners to uncover new business opportunities.

This full-time role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and offers hybrid flexibility.

Role ResponsibilitiesDrive sales growth and build a consistently managed pipeline, ensuring top-tier prospects are effectively engaged through a collaborative process.Create a revenue stream for life insurance policies targeting small and medium-sized business owners and key employees.Implement strategic business development initiatives and marketing campaigns to drive new revenue streams from external clients.Develop strong channels of new leads through prospecting, cultivation, and nurturing existing relationships.Identify and help develop strategic relationships with external partners.Educate and market to internal financial advisors to fully round out their financial planning capabilities.Research, qualify, and track current and future internal and external business opportunities.Generate new business through cold calls, emails, and leveraging social media.Lead discovery calls with prospective buyers and schedule new business appointments.Track prospects and engagement outcomes in the Client Relationship Management system, ensuring accurate records of progress or disqualification.Consult with clients to assess insurance needs, budgets, financial goals, and other relevant details.Follow up periodically to assess changes in client circumstances that may warrant adjustments in coverage.Promote and be a subject matter expert in the company's insurance services and industry knowledge.Research market competitors to ensure the company's competitiveness.Provide feedback for process improvement and delivery capabilities.Comply with management system standards and data integrity requirements.Maintain professional licensure through Continuing Education.Support and promote a positive public image of the company.Key Measurements

Achievement of annual sales goals with regular feedback to the Chief Growth Officer.Generation of new business opportunities through lead qualification and prospecting.Revenue growth from existing client relationships through internal financial professionals.Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Four (4)+ years of relevant work experience in life insurance administration.Valid life insurance license.Preference for securities licenses.Experience with financial planning software.Advanced sales and negotiation experience.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to work independently and travel 25-30% of the time.Competencies

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.Total target compensation of $200K+ consisting of a base salary ($65K - $75K) and variable compensation, including commissions and bonuses. Potential for additional growth dependent on revenue streams.Benefits
