The role of the

Business Services Manager

is to oversee employees in the Business Services Department, ensuring productivity and compliance with applicable policies and standards. This position will ensure that the commercial/business loan and deposit account policies and procedures, in compliance with Federal and State regulations, best serve the Credit Union and our business members. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and the ability to collect, analyze and interpret financial data are a must! They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. A Day in the Life of a Business Services Manager

INCLUDES:

Performing thorough credit analysis, including review of financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral evaluations. Making recommendations for loan approval or denial based on credit worthiness and risk assessment. Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of all credit analysis and lending decisions.Managing the business loan portfolio, including monitoring loan performance, conducting periodic reviews, and identifying potential risks. Implementing strategies to minimize default risk and maintaining the quality of the loan portfolio. Handling loan restructuring and working out situations as needed.Ensuring all commercial/business deposit accounts and lending activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. Staying updated on changes in banking regulations and industry best practices. Implementing and enforcing risk management practices to protect the Credit Union.Developing and executing strategies to attract new business and expanding the commercial deposit and lending portfolio. Networking with industry professionals, attending relevant events, and representing the Credit Union in the communities we serve. Collaborating with other departments to cross-sell products and services.Developing, analyzing, and completing monthly loan reports. Developing procedures and reporting tools for effective information to flow through the department.Business Services Manager Skills and qualifications include

:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, economics, or related field of study.

Achievement of an industry-recognized formal business lending certification is a plus.Additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of education

5 years of experience in business lending to include business deposits and member accounts.3 years of experience in a supervisory or management roleExcellent oral, written, and telephone communication skillsStrong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skillsAbility to collect, analyze and interpret financial dataOther things you may want to know about this position:

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Travel

Travel is rarely necessary for this position.

Work Site Location

All work will be performed at our beautiful Corporate Campus located at 2675 O'Neal Lane in Baton Rouge, LA.
