The

Events Sales Manager

will secure all private & special events sales and guide all marketing activities for Majordomo in partnership with the General Manager. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to meeting all quarterly & annual sales goals, working alongside the Executive Chef, General Manager, and Beverage Manager to maximize event sales while exceeding client expectations and developing and supporting relationships with clients & guests.

Compensation Band:

$68,000 - $73,000 plus commission

RESPONSIBILITIES

EVENT SALES

Actively develop and manage relationships with private event clientele and promote MG JV, LLC DBA MAJORDOMO’s private event program to the communityWork with Chefs and Beverage Managers to create competitive and attractive private event menus and offeringsServe as the main point of contact for private event clients and communicate client needs to chefs and managers to ensure the successful execution of private events, offsite events, large group dining, and buyouts.Develop and maintain outward facing private event-specific materials (website, printed materials, menus, social media) with assistance from Marketing, and PR departments.Manage all aspects of private event sales, from fielding inquiries, site visits and client meetings, to developing proposals, negotiating contracts and confirming payment.By understanding the restaurant goals and Corporate, General Managers and Executives Chef's vision, manages event-related finances, including pricing, sales goals, costing, client deposits, and payments to maximize profitability.Monitor monthly and quarterly event sales goals; communicate and evaluate progress against these goals with the General Manager to ensure short term and long term successEVENT SUPERVISION

Supervise execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) for all buyouts, private dining events, and large groups. The Events Manager must effectively communicate floor plan, menu, and payment information to all pertinent managers in advance.Spearheads strategy to schedule themselves onsite for events to maximize guest satisfaction and develop repeat business. When present, utilize interpersonal and relationship management skills to ensure the client has a first class experience to maximize future business.identify and procure any additional equipment or service ware needed by chefs and managers through third party vendors.HOLIDAYS AND SPECIAL OFFERINGS

In partnership with the general manager, Marketing, and PR, plan, coordinate, and execute special events & holiday offerings for MG JV, LLC DBA MAJORDOMO, including holiday-specific events, guest chef events, ticketed events, and off-site public-facing eventsServe as the main point of contact between outside special event partners and MomofukuExecute marketing/promotional campaigns for all MG JV, LLC DBA MAJORDOMO special events with the PR team and assist with special event social media initiatives.MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

In partnership with Finance and Accountings, create and execute a yearly marketing and outreach plan targeted towards local marketsUnder the direction of Marketing and PR, facilitate press opportunities for Majordomo including photo and video shootsWork with the general manager to manage charity donations and philanthropic partnershipsDevelop and maintain contacts and relationships with local businesses, cultural institutions, and other key stakeholders to maximize long term salesDrive and pursue new business, create new clients. Submit a weekly Events Report to leadership recapping off-site new business activity from the weekADDITIONAL DUTIES

As needed, perform FOH Manager responsibilities including, but not limited to: drafting the floorplan, printing materials necessary for service, cutting staff as business permits, responding to staff emails, adjusting and approving payroll, assisting various departments of FOH and BOH, and miscellaneous opening and closing duties.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required3 years of related experience required1 years of supervisory experience preferredFlexibility with respect to the demands and hours needed in this role and being willing and able to work evenings and weekends to support event servicing needs & client needsFamiliarity in the local community, network, and strong understanding of locally-specific markets highly preferredAbility to work independently and to handle multiple priorities & activitiesRelationship management skills that allow for positive relationships with employees and managers of all levels within the organization.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with current or future clients.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of related experience required1+ years of supervisory experience preferredDemonstrated track record in achieving or exceeding event sales targetsA proven track record of demonstrating strong leadership qualities, capable of fostering a positive and collaborate environmentProven record of developing sales strategies that maximize revenue opportunities, including pricing, packaging and promotional tactics tailored to different market segments.A proven track record of dependability, a continuous focus on learning and development, and a history of consistently and successfully fulfilling all role responsibilitiesPHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting for 4 to 8 hours, standing, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
