Job Summary:Administers all forms of respiratory care, both critical and general therapy, and directs and manages the respiratory and pulmonary care for a designated group of patients. Provides respiratory assessment, support, treatment, and diagnostic tests as part of the healthcare team.
Certifications - Required:•RESP REG - Respiratory Therapist, Registered NBRC RRT•AHA BCLS - Basic Life Support•AHA PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support•AHA NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program•AHA ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certificate
Licensure - Required:•Respiratory Care Practitioner - PA state license
Education - Required:•Associate's Degree Graduate from an RRT program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care
Experience - Required:•1 year Experience as a registered respiratory therapist in either PICU or Level 4 NICU.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:•Ability to provide respiratory therapy methodologies and techniques.•Ability to operate and trouble-shoot diagnostic equipment.
Education - Preferred:•Bachelor's Degree Graduate from an RRT program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care
