Thisposition acts as front-line staff for all building activities and building security,reporting to the Conference Services Coordinator.Essential Duties andResponsibilities:The following duties and responsibilities areillustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended tobe all inclusive:-Demonstrate overall professionalismin completed work, demeanor, and behavior while effectively displayingstrong communication skills (oral & written). -Staff the Concierge Desk anytimethe public is in the building, providing customer service, tending to "Dayof Event" needs, and ensuring general security of the facility andgrounds. -Act as the primary point ofcontact in emergency situations; coordinating with first responders and othervenue staff. -During events, record detailed informationfor billing purposes and update event checklists.-Prepare, set up, and monitorin-house hospitality service for events, which may include coffee, hottea, and ice water.-Uphold generalbuilding readiness and appearance by ensuring proper equipment counts andmaintaining appropriate equipment/furniture placement throughout the venuein accordance with fire/safety codes and event layouts. Remedies orreports deficiencies to supervisor. -Completeprojects as assigned by Conference Services Coordinator, EventsCoordinator, Facility Services Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, and/orEvent Operations Manager.-Working collectively with yourfellow Event Concierge, perform general clerical duties for the LincolnCenter Administration Offices including answer/route phone calls, distributemail, field customer inquiries, and receive incoming packages.-Must have theability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, andholidays. -Demonstrate astrong capability to relate to a diverse set of team members and clientswhile providing consistent world-class customer service.-As needed, andwhen time allows, assist the Facility Attendants with the set/strike of roomsaccording to event reports and maps (tables, chairs, staging, presentationequipment, dance floor, linens, etc.).-Correctly set, test,and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment, ensuring full functionality andreadiness for events.-At theconclusion of an event, strike audio/visual equipment, hospitality, andlinens; ensure floors are free of large spills or trash and asappropriate, strike all lobby spaces.-Perform work withoutdirect supervision in a fast paced, everchanging environment to identify &prioritize daily duties and unexpected challenges. -Anticipate the client's needs,respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests' requests, and triage issues,however busy. Preferred advanced technical knowledge ofaudio/visual/multimedia presentation equipment.-Multilingual applicants areencouraged to apply.Certification and Licenses: -Preferred CPR/First Aid/AED Certification -Preferred Food Safety & Handling Certification Physical Demands:While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee is regularly required to traverse distances; work in astationary position while sitting or standing; and using hands to reach orgrasp. The employee is occasionally required to stand, ascend/descend, orbalance at a height up to 20ft.; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, which mayrequire work on the floor or in tight spaces. The employee must be able to lift50lbs. and push/pull up to 150lbs. as needed.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential functions, which may include:-Traversinglong distances, on a multi-level building using stairs, corridors, orelevators.-Physical/Laborintensive work for up to 8 hours at a time.-Manualdexterity enough to operate equipment and tools including ability tocontinually traverse distances and frequently, bend, twist, kneel, stoop,reach, pull and push.-Strength andstamina enough to operate equipment, move objects up to 50 pounds andbend, twist, stoop and reach above head in the performance ofduties.Push wheeled items up to 150 lbs.-Visionenough to operate equipment and distinguish between items on written &electronic means of communication.-Make continuousor repetitive arm-hand movements including tasks requiring a full range ofmotion to reach up and out.-Communicationskills enough to interpret work schedules, job duties and conveyinformation to the public and supervisor.Working Environment:Work isperformed in a multi-use performing arts and conference facility that has a dynamicand changing event and activity schedule. The employee will be asked to workvariable hours including early morning, afternoon, evening, and late-nightshifts during the week, weekends, and some holidays. Employees will be asked towork alone or as an unsupervised team. The noise level in the work environmentis usually moderate.
