The Fort Collins Semiconductor wafer fabrication operation delivers RF filters and front-end module semiconductors to the wireless communications industry.Responsibilities:Software development and maintenance of internal manufacturing execution systems for semiconductor wafer fabrication operation at Broadcom Inc. Wireless Semiconductor Division in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position is a key developer role delivering fully automated and integrated solutions that will help the division achieve the goals for its critical success metrics. Specific application areas of focus will primarily include station controller software communicating through SECS/GEM to fab equipment, and higher level language for user communication and data collection from a Linux platform. Responsibilities will include design, test, and support of software used in manufacturing integration, and requires interfacing with all factory teams including other software teams, engineers, technicians, and operators.Skill Requirements:B.S. Software Engineering or equivalent degree and 5+ years of related experienceAbility to work on site in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is not a remote work opportunity.Position is part of an on-call rotationMust have legal authorization to work in the USProficiency with multiple high-level programming Languages such as Java, C, C++, C#Experience with multiple scripting languages such as PERL, Unix Shell (Bash/Ksh), PHP, PythonExperience with Linux operating systems, including vi or other editors.Object Oriented design, transaction based API design and managementExcellent teamwork, communication and influencing skillsProven customer service orientation and rapid problem solving abilitiesMotivation to stay current on applicable technology developmentsAbility to adapt to existing software architecture and contribute to improvementsPreferred Experience:Experience with various communication protocols: SECS/GEM tool communication, Serial (RS232), MODBUS communications, PLC’sManufacturing experience (Semiconductor preferred)Software testing methodologies (Test-driven Development, Regression Suites, etc)Event driven systems / architecturesSuccess supporting and modifying an existing base of codeMixed software and hardware environmentsStatistical analysis tools and techniquesWeb development; front-end design (js/react/node.js)Familiarity with Arduino, Raspberry PiCompensation and Benefits:The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $146,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
