About the Employer

The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is made up of 44 schools serving preschool-12th grade with approximately 33,000 students in grades TK-12. The District Office hosts twenty-three district level departments that serve the school sites. Job Summary

Medical, Vision & Dental plans are available for purchase. FUSD does not contribute to benefit costs. Dental plans are mandatory for full-time employees.

Requirements / Qualifications

The Bus Driver 1 requires a Type 2 Certification.

Class B Driver's license with passenger endorsement with no restrictions that would preclude driving on the job.

Possession of a California Highway Patrol School Bus Driver's certificate with no restrictions which would preclude driving on the job.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES:Following the recruitment closing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.Those who pass screening will be invited to participate in a written examination, DATE :TBDThose who pass the written examination will be invited to a Performance and Interview Panel with subject matter experts, Date: TBD.Based on the final scores, a ranked candidate list will be established.Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a final interview with the hiring administrator.Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.

Comments and Other Information

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations. All applications and supplemental information will be reviewed to determine the candidates whose training and experience most closely match the requirements of the position. Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to participate in the testing process, which may include written, oral and/or performance exams. The testing results will determine the rank of the candidates from which an eligibility list is prepared. Selection will be made from the top three ranks on the list.
