Overview:
The hospital is a regional integrated healthcare system that offers

Counties. With approximately 11,500 employees, the hospital consists of
Reading Hospital in West Reading; Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville;
Pottstown Hospital in Pottstown; and St. Christopher's Hospital for
Children in Philadelphia. The hospital has partnered with Drexel
University College of Medicine to open a new medical school one-half
mile walking distance from Reading Hospital, a regional medical campus
for Drexel University College of Medicine at the hospital. The school
opened in 2021 and is currently accepting enrollment applications for
the second class in 2024. In addition, Reading Hospital is the main
training hospital for the medical school and supports ACGME accredited
residency and fellowship programs.
Highlights:
The Department of Radiology performs over 40,000 annual studies across a vast array of imaging modalities including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.Develop and uphold standards of care in the department.Provide clinical supervision of medical services and assure appropriateness, quality, and safety of patient careProvide medical leadership for daily operations of the departmentDeliver direct clinical care through the performance and interpretation of studiesRecruit new faculty with appropriate skillsets to meet clinical needsDevelop a roadmap for the modernization of the departmentCollaborate with pediatric and pediatric subspecialty physicians to provide the optimal care for patientsAdvocate for programs and resources necessary to optimize outcomes of Department priorities and the pediatric patients the Department servesPromote teaching in a multidisciplinary manner by providing leadership for and participation in the education of medical students, fellows, house staff, nursing, and medical staffMaintain an open line of communication with practice and hospital leadershipSupport administrative decisions and activities affecting patient care
