The Data Centers Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of our large enterprise network. As a member of a Data Centers' Networking Team, you will be asked to design and integrate computer networks which enable data transfer and communications between different computer systems, online networks and databases. To do this work you should be able to configure, support and troubleshoot the Expeditors global and local networks. These network connections are the bedrock of Expeditors branch and Data Center infrastructure and global operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a collaborative member of a highly motivated and agile teamDevelop and maintain self-service technology and monitoring systemsApply technical skills in the design, development, integration, and testing of networking componentsInstalling and configuring network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewallsWork with the Cyber Security Team to develop, implement and maintain industry standard security practicesConducting regular network maintenance, including updating software and hardware.Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5 plus years working in a 200+ branch environmentStrong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as iBGP, OSPF, MPLS, and DMVPNExperience in Enterprise level WAN administrationExperience designing and administering network environmentsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and projectsTypical TCP/IP layer 1 - 4, DHCP, DNS etc.A relevant bachelor's degree and/or comparable work experienceDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsExperience with network shaping and monitoringExperience with cloud networkingExperience with Infoblox, LiveNX, and other management toolsExperience with Windows and UNIX operating systemsExperience with wireless networking (Cisco, Juniper)Experience with SD-WAN configurationsExperience working trouble tickets and handling high priority escalationsScripting in at least one language such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, ruby, bashRelevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Experience with firewalls, proxies, load balancers a plusApplicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not transfer or sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (such as an H-1B visa) for this opportunity.

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $100,000 to $140,000
