The Business Insights Intern will provide support to the Sales & Marketing teams performing ad-hoc analysis, distribution of standard reporting, maintenance and update of exisiting reports and datasources, and collection, analysis and communication of a wide spectrum of industry, competitive and other marketing information. The Business Insights Intern will also be leveraged to assist with both ad-hoc and monthly analytics.This is a unique opportunity to gain broad experience, have responsibility for a variety of projects and engage with key decision makers. The Business Insights Intern will be responsible for developing analyses, scorecards and key performance indicators. This role will assist the organization with gleaning data driven insights that lead to meaningful action.Reporting Structure:

The Business Insights Intern will report to the Business Insights Analyst - Advanced as a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. There are no direct reports reporting into this role.Support strategic projects to identify and implement initiatives for growing sales and profitability, including, but not limited to: contractor engagement and product analysis, sales and marketing programs, external partnerships

Conduct in-depth evaluations of marketing loyalty programs to derive insights and propose recommendations based on findings along with preparing monthly presentations and reportsProactively analyze customer data to identify potential prospects, opportunities for engagement and product portfolio placementsAnalyze and report on effectiveness of product results and marketing programs. Collaborate with marketing to develop standard reports, key performance indicators and develop overall approaches on how to measure and report the business.Continual deep dive analysis into business performance, identify data insights that lead to delivering business outcomesSynthesize data, market information and competitive intelligence to provide actionable insights and business trend information, including financial results of key competitors on quarterly basisOrganize and extract insights from secondary data sources related to paint and home improvementResponsible for industry/market insights trends to help with BM sales planning/forecasting processWork closely with Product Marketing team to integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design (product usage testing)Update and distribute reports on a weekly basis, consolidate reports, ensure data integrity, accuracy and consistencySupport and automate recurring reports to increase department and organizational efficiencyManage various internal ad hoc requests and projects to assist and support Sales Management, Marketing and peers with on-demand analyticsQualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong Excel/PowerPoint skills; proficiency with Business Objects and other mining tools; data visualization tools (ie, Tableau, Qlik Sense)* Ability to communicate openly and honestly with colleagues and customers. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work, and complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable
