Role: Cloud Technical Solution Architect
Our client is extending its Cloud Center of Excellence team and is looking for an experienced Cloud Technical Solution Architect to join the team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing and documenting state of the art Cloud solutions leveraging services available in AWS, Azure and GCP as well as required third party components. You'll also be deeply engaged with peer teams to re-architect and/or Cloud-enable existing solutions for the verticals in which our client participates.
You'll partner with peer groups to ensure what you build aligns with the overall direction for Cloud, Security, and related stacks currently in play.
While our overriding strategy is Cloud-first for all solutions, we fully realize that there may be cases where a hybrid-Cloud or even an on premise solution will be the best approach to meet business needs. Well be relying on you to work with your peers to translate Cloud-native approaches to work equally well in Cloud, hybrid-Cloud, and possibly even on premise solution deployments.
Technical Skills required for the role:
Expertise with full stack application and solution developmentSolutioning and engineering skills in one of the primary Cloud hyper-scalers with a preference for Azure skillsCloud engineering skills including security and disaster recovery, storage, networking, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, Linux, web services, APIs, and DevOpsWorking understanding of the primary services leveraged in building and deploying, at scale, Cloud-native applications and platformsDeep understanding of Cloud security, user and identity management, and network configuration and administrationMust have Soft Skills:
Leverages teamwork to achieve organizational goals aligned with business outcomesLeading by exampleFlexibility and agilityBusiness acumenDesired Soft Skills:
Skilled in collaborating cross-functionally with geo-distributed stakeholdersComfortable presenting to stakeholders both internally and externallyProcess Specific Skills:
Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologiesTop 3 KRA:
Design/architect solution offerings that align with client's Digital product roadmaps, strategic plans and revenue targetsWork with the Cloud Engineering and Digital peer teams to deliver on commit dates for new or enhanced offerings per the roadmapsLeverage internal and external feedback to address solution design points that could be improved
