Packagers are responsible for preparing and loading completed products into corrugated containers. They confirm the product is secure within the container and sealed properly for transportation. Packagers verify the container is labeled accurately with a contents label and a sample representing the product inside.

Job Duties:

Prioritize the packaging of products by following the daily shipping scheduleVerify the finished product was rewound on the correct size core and has core tagsVerify the product count was recorded accurately and if the customer accepts any overageDetermine the correct size container which will best protect the product during transportationVerify certificate of compliance is filled out and completeShrink-wrapping or bag the product for container when requiredLoad product into container securing it with dunnage and sealing the container with packaging tapeVerify container does not exceed customers requested weight or the 35-pound max weightIdentify from the ticket how the container needs to be labeled and enter the product information into Label Traxx printing the container label tagAdhere the container label tag along with a label representing the product insidePalletize the products that have multiple containers shipping to the same locationDocument on the ticket rolls per container, the dimension of the container and the number of them usedUpdate container information in Label Traxx (Need Training)Enter the quantity of containers used into Label Traxx inventorySegregate the containers or palletized containers in the shipping area with their related ticket so they are easily identified on the floorMaintains a clean and safe working areaReplenishes core and packaging inventoryRecord unused boxes for month end inventoryCompany Paid Benefits
