Job DescriptionHilltop Securities is looking to hire an Operations Analyst to support the Margin/Cashiering department in our Dallas office. The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments which is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs. The Operations group's responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customers, and many more. The Margin/Cashiering department is responsible for the oversight and processing of margined accounts as well cash accounts. This area reviews and approves request for wires, checks and ACH transactions. Margin/Cashiering handles a wide variety of transaction processing request for retail and institutional customers, including movements between accounts, reviewing securities that can be margined, FINRA 4210 oversight, collection of funds that are due, fee processing and customer service to brokers and back-office staff.ResponsibilitiesUnder moderate to close supervision, performs routine or basic functions according to department and industry guidelines.Perform daily, the review and resolution of calls and money due.Review and approve any disbursement request received from an office.Consistently review and process email requests and Service Center cases at a high volume. Communicate with offices on open items that need to be addressed and resolved.File extensions with FINRA for items that violate Reg T.Track daily all reports that are created, charge offs, and other regulatory reports as well as management reports.Consistently finish daily tasks and regular assigned responsibilities.Assist with special projects assigned by supervisor or manager.Work with team members, assist with questions, task, projects, planning and brainstorming.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with 1 plus year previous office/clerical experience.Knowledge of basic security industry terminology and financial markets a plus.Strong Customer focused with effective interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to learn quickly and retain information while demonstrating solid decision-making abilities.Organizational and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.Strong attention to detail.Effective time management and problem-solving skills.Ability to work neatly and accurately while exercising judgment, logic, integrity and initiative.Able to work additional hours and/or flexible shift assignments when needed.College degree preferred.Required to obtain FINRA SIE and Series 7 license, within first year of employment.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals in, or assigned to, the above position and are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required, and may be changed at the discretion of the Company.About UsAt HilltopSecurities, we believe in building noble and collaborative relationships that enrich the financial future of individuals, businesses and communities.
