Our firm is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and highly skilled Permanent Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the legal industry and has a strong background in insurance defense. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, where they will be responsible for defending insurance companies in a variety of complex cases. This role requires an individual who is adept at handling cases related to liability, construction, and personal injury.
Responsibilities:1. Represent insurance companies in court and negotiate with opposing counsel.2. Conduct legal research and analysis to devise defense strategies for insurance companies.3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.4. Provide legal advice to clients on insurance defense matters.5. Manage all aspects of litigation, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.7. Stay updated on current laws and regulations within the insurance industry.8. Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
Qualifications:1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on insurance defense.3. Must be licensed to practice law in the state.4. Proven experience in litigation and insurance defense, including liability, construction, and personal injury cases.5. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.6. Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
