Bid Preparation : Develop and submit competitive bids or proposals for construction projects, including pricing strategies and terms.
Quantity Takeoff : Accurately measure and quantify materials and labor requirements from project drawings and specifications.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination : Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value and accuracy in the estimate.
Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the project scope and budget, and incorporate contingencies into the estimate.
Budget Management : Track and manage project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to the initial estimates and adjust as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that estimates align with project goals.
Profile5+ years of experience in EstimatingWorking knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.Working knowledge of construction technology and details.
