Overview:
Solina, a custom seasoning and functional ingredient manufacturer located in Oak Creek, WI is currently in need of Production Operators on 1st and 2nd shift. The shift hours are 6:30am 2:30pm and 2:30pm 10:30pm. Our production area consists of four different departments: Blending, Grinding, Weighing, Packaging. All positions require close attention to detail and the ability to consistently perform heavy lifting.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES (including but not limited to)Blending:Frequently lift 50 pounds, sometimes heavier weights with teammatesDumping ingredients into tanks by following recipe instructionsPacking, weighing, sealing, and stacking of bags, boxes, and drumsResponsible for sanitation of equipment and quality of finished productGrinding:Consistently lift 55 pound boxes, sometimes heavier weights with teammatesDump product into tanks to produce target product within parametersSet up and sanitize equipment
Weighing:Frequently lift 50 pounds, sometimes heavier weights with teammatesWeigh ingredients using assigned work orderMaintain accurate inventory
Packaging:Occasionally lift up to 50 poundsPackage product in all sizes and configurations and inspect qualityFollow special instructions in work order and production notesSet up, disassemble, and sanitize packaging equipmentQualifications:EDUCATION- High School diploma, GED or other viable work experience is preferred.SKILLS- Ability to do basic math; add, subtract, multiply, divide.- Ability to read, write and understand work orders in English.- Ability to obtain certification to operate powered industrial equipment.- Basic computer entry skills, preferred, to utilize computerized production software.- Able to communicate with others.- Ability to read and understand scale readings.- Ability to work accurately in a faced paced environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT- Must be able to remain in an upright position, while moving about the department.- Requires the ability to move and pour up to 80lbs with or without assistance.- Requires the ability to push/pull drums weighing up to 300lbs with or without assistance.- Requires the ability to ascend/descend stairs.- Requires the ability to work at heights above 20 ft.- Requires the ability to reach, grasp and scoop.- Requires the ability to bend, stoop and kneel.- Requires the ability to distinguish between colors.- Exposure to loud noises, water and dust and food allergens.- Works constantly in a manufacturing/production and/or warehouse environment.*The above statements reflect the general requirements necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation named and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work related responsibilities required of the employee.Pay Range:USD $20.00 - USD $20.50 /Hr.
