To support retail we must continuously review our supply chain practices to ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible while maintaining excellent customer service to our stores and ultimately our customers. We have openings for interns in our warehouse and manufacturing operations. The positions will be located in Chariton, Cherokee and Des Moines, Iowa. The timeframe is approximately May 19th to August 15th, 2025. This Monday through Friday opportunity will be 40 hours per week. This internship is part of the Hy-Vee Supply Chain Internship program, which includes tours of Hy-Vee's facilities, organized networking opportunities, and a final presentation to Hy-Vee Supply Chain leadership.Primary Responsibilities:Successful candidates will work with management and company employees to learn daily processes within Hy-Vee's warehouses and manufacturing.Responsibilities will be similar to what is expected of an entry-level supply chain or manufacturing professional.The internship will include learning daily processes needed to successfully service customers with the expectation of contributing new ideas in the form of a final presentation or paper at the conclusion of the internship.This internship will work with warehouse and manufacturing management on process improvement projects.The Successful Candidate will have:Strong academic candidateExperience with team leadership and teamwork, especially outside the classroomSkilled in the following applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookAbility to effectively communicate, verbally and writtenExperience with problem solving and organizationAbility to be successful in a fast-paced environmentRelationship-building skillsMinimum Education/Experience:Qualifications include working toward, or recently acquired, a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Economics, etc.Interested candidates who meet the qualifications may apply online at www.hy-vee.com/careers.For this position, we also require you to attach your resume, cover letter, and official or unofficial transcript to your application.
