SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYTICS INTERNSHIP - SUMMER 2025
Hy-Vee, Inc. is a progressive company focused on retail. To support retail we must continuously review our supply chain practices to ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible while maintaining excellent customer service to our stores and ultimately our customers. The position is located at the West Des Moines corporate office. The timeframe is approximately May 19th to August 15th, 2025. This Monday through Friday opportunity will be 40 hours per week. This internship is part of the Hy-Vee Supply Chain Internship program, which includes tours of Hy-Vee's facilities, organized networking opportunities, and a final presentation to Hy-Vee Supply Chain leadership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESUse modeling techniques to research supply chain efficienciesProvide the warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, and purchasing teams with timely analytics and fact-based evaluations to make strategic, tactical decisionsPerform cost and performance analysis specific to warehousing and transportation operationsCollaborate with supply chain functions (demand planning, product supply, transportation, customer logistics, internal warehouse, manufacturing) to deliver warehouse objectivesReport to work when scheduled and on timeThe Successful Candidate will have
Strong knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tablesStrong critical thinking and problem solving skillsAbility to gather and analyze data and report resultsKnowledge of VBA (Visual Basic For Applications) and Excel Solver tool is beneficialStrong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams comprised of members from all levels of the organization.
Minimum Education/Experience Required to Perform Job
Qualifications include working toward, or recently acquired, a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, etc.
