Data Science Intern
to join our team. This position will be responsible for collaborating with team members on key business projects, learning key skills for a career in data science, and become a contributing member to the team. You will leverage first and third party data to understand in-store and digital trends for how customers interact with our business. Work as part of a team focused on making our customers' lives Easier, Healthier, and Happier.
We are looking for a bright, inquisitive mind who is passionate about leveraging data to drive action in a fast-paced retail environment. Someone who loves to ask "why", connect the dots, and understands the power of data will thrive in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPairs with team members to define questions of interest relating to brand managers, product owners, consumer researchers, and leadershipExperience the CRISP-DM processes in the real worldCreate code for the gathering, merging and aggregating of dataGain experience with fundamental exploratory data analysis and transformations using R and/or PythonBuild, evaluate, and iterate on models solving for initial business problemCreate visualizations & present findings of work to the teamLearn how to prepare reproducible, structured code for the entire data science pipelineKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Working towards BA/BS degree in a STEM field, with a graduate degree preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in writing SQL for SQL Server; Google BigQuery preferredKnowledge and experience of statistical software (R and/or Python) preferredExperience with reporting software (PowerBI, DataStudio)
