CareStaff Partners is partnering with a well-respected School District in Puyallup, WA that is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a contract position. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive, and professional environment and work in a fast-paced setting.
Physical Therapist (PT) Position Details:•Start Date: September 2024•Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)•Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Package: $48-51 per hour, based on experience.
Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:Active Washington State PT LicenseESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
(Include the following but are not limited to, other duties may be assigned)
Reviews physicians referral (prescription) and patients condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment requiredTests and measures patients strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programsPlans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient dataAdministers manual exercises to improve and maintain functionInstructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prosthesesEvaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefitRecords treatment, response, and progress in patients chart or enters information into computerInstructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at homeEvaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices or recommends modification to orthoticsConsults with other members of rehabilitation team to select activity program consistent with needs and capability of individual and to coordinate therapy with other therapeutic activitiesConfers with physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patients health careOrients, instructs, and directs work activities of assistants, aids, and studentsPlans and conducts lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groupsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
