This role provides an opportunity to develop and grow real-world insurance skills and knowledge, assist with a variety of projects, and make connections with multiple teams across the Commercial Lines department.

Michigan Millers & Western National provides a robust internship experience for those interested in the insurance industry. The internship program includes both hands-on opportunities and project work working directly with our underwriters in addition to programming activities focused on fostering professional development, making connections with employees and other interns, and active volunteering in the community.
Position Summary:
As our Insurance Operations Intern, you will be a key contributor not only within the Underwriting Department, but across various teams including Loss Control, Premium Audit, and New Business Support. In addition to supporting our various teams, you will:
Learn about the Commercial Insurance industry, policy formation, and agency partnerships Assist with the growth of our Region by ensuring policies are issued correctly Help with ongoing projects that help better serve our insureds and agents Have the opportunity to grow in both responsibilities and have access to potential growth and career opportunities in the insurance industry Requirements
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Completed two years of college preferred Proven project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, delegate, and establish/meet deadlines Interest/Experience in the Insurance Industry Professional communication skills
Compensation Overview:
The base pay offered for this position will be $19.00/hour.
