Job Description
The Estimator is responsible for:
Reviewing and understanding all aspects of construction documents for Residential projectsPerforming takeoffs and developing conceptual budgets utilizing past dataDeveloping, communicating, and understanding the company's pricing strategyCultivating and maintaining relationships with potential/ current clients and subcontractorsUtilizing Construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction scheduleObtaining the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontractsDeveloping and maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontracts, etcMaintaining the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractorServing as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s)MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The right Estimator has the following qualifications:
Experience in construction estimating residential projectsBachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldsSelf motivated, able to work independently as well as alongside a teamAbility to strategize and manage the client's expectationsAble to be successful in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work under tight time lines to hit project deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhat's on Offer
