Responsibilities:
Research, design, development, testing, evaluation and maintenance of integrated computer hardware and software systemsResponsible for computer systems architecture and integration, software programming, development, review, audit, testing, configuration management, requirements, and changes.Provide support utilizing languages such as C, C++ and Java.Provide scripting support using Perl, Shell, etc.Execute software projects with an understanding of full software design lifecycle from requirement gathering phase through production phaseCapability to develop software that interfaces with external devicesAbility to debug complex systems and to conduct reviews, audits and testingProviding reviews of Navigation and Landing Systems software to ensure compliance with FAA performance criteriaRequirements
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .
Proficient in C/C++ programming languages and scripts used in model and tool developmentFamiliar with Linux, Unix, and Java programming languages are recommendedWorking knowledge of high-level languages, such as Python and shell scripting (sh / bash)Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the software development processExperience working in a team environmentGood written and spoken communication including developing technical documentationRequires a minimum of 2 days in office per weekAbility to pass an FAA background investigationWilling to travel (around 30%)Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or EngineeringTen (10) plus years of software development and/or engineering experienceCoursework in areas including software development, object oriented analysis and design, JAVA, C/C++Strong analytical skills, proven problem solving ability while being self-motivated in our team environment
