Interoperability Verification and Validation BranchRole Overview:The C2 Interoperability Verification Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that NATO's Command and Control (C2) systems and processes are fully interoperable across all member and partner nations. This position is central to advancing NATO’s capability to operate seamlessly in joint and coalition environments by leading interoperability verification, validation, and testing activities.Key Responsibilities:

Interoperability Testing:

Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of interoperability testing for NATO’s C2 systems, including the coordination of annual exercises such as the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX).Verification and Validation (V&V):

Conduct rigorous V&V processes to ensure that all C2 systems meet NATO’s interoperability standards. This involves the use of standardized methodologies and tools to assess system performance in joint operations.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with NATO member and partner nations, as well as industry and academia, to address interoperability challenges and foster innovation in C2 systems. This includes participation in events such as TIDE Sprint, where interoperability issues are addressed collaboratively.Standards Development:

Contribute to the development and refinement of NATO’s interoperability standards and guidelines, ensuring they evolve in response to emerging technological and operational requirements.Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on the results of interoperability testing and V&V activities. These reports will inform NATO’s strategic decisions and capability development efforts.Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in systems interoperability, verification and validation, or related areas. Prior experience with NATO or multinational defense organizations is highly desirable.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in interoperability testing tools, simulation software, and data analysis techniques. Familiarity with NATO’s C2 systems and standards is essential.Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment.Clearance:
