You will collaborate with the Strategic Alignment Manager to support senior leadership and key stakeholders with clear and consistent messaging regarding the organization's strategic priorities, goals, and objectives to foster alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)Business Analytics, Strategic Planning and Alignment: (30%)Establish, manage, and present business performance analysis to support strategic planning and alignment efforts.Monitor medium to long-term business trends/outlooks and incorporate competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic discussions with leadership.Engage with department leaders, employees, and external partners to gather input to support alignment efforts.Support efforts to promote alignment of departmental goals, activities, and resources with the organization's strategic direction.Communication and Messaging: (30%)Support the development of clear and consistent messaging regarding the organization's strategic priorities, goals, and objectives to internal and external audiences.Support strategic communication to key audiences including the Board of Directors, Investors, top customers and potential partners.Work closely with the leadership to create and prepare presentation materials, summarized reports and other materials to support internal and external communication efforts.Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: (20%)Develop tools and models for data analysis in support of tracking progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), True North Targets, strategic initiatives, and the overall 2030 Plan.Monitor, evaluate, and report on the alignment of activities and outcomes with strategic objectives.Change Management: (10%)Support change management efforts related to the implementation of strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with the Communications team to ensure smooth transitions and increase engagement.Recognize potential barriers to alignment and work with leadership to develop strategies to address them effectively.Continuous Improvement: (10%)Identify opportunities for process optimization and organizational improvement to enhance alignment with strategic objectives.Plan and direct independent improvement projects as needed, including analyzing, researching, evaluating, presenting recommendations, and implementing changes.Drive effectiveness and efficiencies, working closely with the Business Strategy/Operations team, Communications team, and leadership to share best practices.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:Degree in Business Administration or equivalent years of experience required.2+ years of Simpson Strong-Tie experience with a strong understanding of our business.Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and key stakeholders to gather input and build consensus around strategic initiatives, alignment activities and messaging.Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and disseminate clear and consistent messaging about our business and our strategic priorities.Experience in crafting messages tailored to various audiences including internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.Proficient in creating visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and infographicsProficiency in establishing metrics, KPIs, and other measures to track progress towards goals.Analytical skills to monitor and evaluate alignment of activities and outcomes with strategic objectives and recommend data-driven adjustments.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster collaboration across different levels of the organization, and influence and motivate teams towards common strategic objectives.Proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor strategic initiatives.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with overarching strategic goals.Strong business acumen with a high-level understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
