SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The Software Asset Process Owner is responsible for managing the software assets of the organization in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). A key focus of this role is developing and implementing processes and procedures that support the overall software assets into a single cohesive process and/or program. Software assets include software products, licenses, contracts, and usage rights that the organization owns or subscribes to. This role ensures that assets/configuration items and associated relationships are accurate and complete by confirming process adherence and data quality against documented standards. Will involve supporting the asset and configuration management processes, building exception reports, and maintaining core data used by the asset & configuration management system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide oversight and leadership to the technology operations team that handles the software asset management life cycle.Oversees and performs audits on a regular basis, identifying records with incorrect or outdated information, and coordinating with owners and support teams to remediate data inaccuracies.Monthly reporting on EOS software and version history.Collaborate with technology teams to design integrations and consolidate data from hardware discovery and asset repository systems, ensuring the Asset and Configuration Management Database has updated source data.Coordinates and reviews software requests, deployments, updates, and retirements of the software products across the organization.Monitor and maintain a Software Asset Management dashboard with reporting metrics and ensures it aligns to the overall Asset Management reports.Knowledge and understanding of Industry Standard or Best Practices within the Service Asset Configuration Manager (SACM) space.Provide input to identify opportunities to improve or reengineer the Software Asset Management ProcessSupport internal or external audit requests.Proactively identify and suggest improvement areas.Ability to communicate to non-technical and technical resources.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

4+ years of Software Asset ManagementIAITAM/CSAM certification (preferred)IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools (SSCM, SNOW, Flexera)Experience with configuring and maintaining the Hardware and Software Asset modules in ServiceNow

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
