Job Description
The key responsibilities of the
Estimator (SE Michigan)
are to:
Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and visionPrepare full general conditions estimates and analysisPrepare construction cost estimates with quantity take-offs and unit pricingPrepare scope documents per trade and include scope and project specific informationOversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details like permit submission and design evaluationsReviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectCollaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure feasibility of each projectConduct meetings on-site with architect, client and construction crewNegotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare and submit project estimates to clientsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. 7+ years of project management experienceBachelor's degree in construction management or related area of study preferredSignificant and diverse project experience with a commercial focusAbility to run projects from conception to completionExperience estimating projects up to $10 millionEffective Communication SkillsWorking knowledge of commercial construction technology and detailsStrong Personal Drive to take on several challenges and grow professionallyWhat's on Offer
