Description
Do you want your internship to be meaningful and full of real impactful tasks? This internship has the purpose to help one more child spend one less day alone. We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated, has a strong sense of urgency, takes the initiative, is solution-driven, and has the ability to make things happen. When you join the HALO family, you are surrounded by a group of passionate individuals who want to see you succeed and grow in your internship.
The Operations Intern will work with the HALO COO, Operations Director, and Operations Manager and will be a part of all operations efforts for the HALO headquarters and HALO branches. This position will be for at least 10 hours a week at HALO Headquarters in Kansas City. This intern will report to the Senior Operations Manager.
Make an impact working with local homeless youth while using your own creativity!Work on DonorPerfect data clean-up projects on an ongoing basisSupport HALO staff - writing thank you cards, making invoicesHelp with event follow-upHelp in tasks pertaining to growing monthly donor baseHelp with Change That Counts, DipJar, and Bloom initiativeHelping pull reports on Better ImpactCreating a guide on how to read data on Better ImpactAssist with posting jobs on Indeed and Handshake and reaching out to qualified candidates to applyResearching and analyzing different platforms for HALO MembershipResearching and organizing volunteer fairs, internship fairs, and speaking opportunitiesResearch best practices for CryptoResearch ways to grow company match donationsGoogle search keywords and analysisAssist in maintaining Google DriveReview potential grants in Instrumentl to see what would be the best-fit grants to apply forAssist in pulling and reviewing the following reports in Donor Perfect:No Donations from the prior year, etc.:Recency ReportFrequency ReportTop Donor ReportGift Range Report

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Candidates for this Internship must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. They must also be able to work well in a team atmosphere, be highly motivated, enjoy brainstorming, pay extreme attention to detail, and take the initiative on all projects.
Needs to be efficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus. Training provided on all other programs.
Please note this is an unpaid internship; however, this is an excellent opportunity to gain a variety of experience in the nonprofit sector.
