Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Patient Service Representative:Strong time management skills with the ability to handle frequent in-person patient interactions while maintaining and documenting data effectively in patient registration systems.Proven ability to work efficiently across multiple computer systems, including patient registration/accounting systems, telephone consoles, document imaging, scanning, payment posting, proprietary payer websites, and data quality monitoring.General knowledge of patient access and financial counseling in both acute and non-acute settings.Working understanding of insurance and medical terminology.Familiarity with Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) and Consent Laws.Required Skills:
Must have experience overseeing administrative processes with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.Prior experience verifying documentation accurately and completely.Experience in a front office setting, including checking in and verifying patient information.Must be comfortable with and proficient in operating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the inpatient/outpatient registration/scheduling environment and hospital operations, procedures/functions and the relationships between them.What's in it for you?
