Job Summary:The QA Engineer - Software will establish standards for the integration of project deliverables into a production environment with a focus on software that interacts with mechanical systems which require specialized deployment management. This individual will audit processes and controls regarding software releases, both internal and 3rd party.

Duties/Responsibilities:Creates and maintains quality system by writing and updating quality assurance proceduresEstablishes quality certifications and maintains required periodic audits to maintain certificationsDevelops, implements, and maintains comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for a global organizationAssures companywide adherence to quality standards for internal teams and external vendorsEstablishes quality and reliability standards by studying project requirements with all stakeholders, conferring, and negotiating with suppliers, SMEs, and devising testing methods and proceduresImplements in-process inspection standards by studying design and manufacturing methods and devising testing methods and proceduresEstablishes rework standardsEnforces quality assurance policies and procedures through regular audits and corrective action reportsEnsures compliance with all project-related regulatory and government requirementsPrepares project quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to drive quality and cost improvementsMay assist functional management in the performance of special assignments and projects in support of strategic planning effortsAnalyzes trends for continuous performance improvement

Skills and Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of managementExcellent organizational skills with attention-to-detailAbility to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively manage time and prioritize tasksAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityProficiency with Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with NetSuiteExcellent problem-solving skills

Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor's degree in related fieldMinimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance (or equivalent)Working knowledge of quality system requirements with expert knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality StandardKnowledge of regulatory and safety requirements and legal standardsExperience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics softwareExperience with Jira or similar ticketing systemExperience with Python a plus
