Technical Documentation SpecialistWe are looking for a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team! The Technical Documentation Specialist will support the Technical Writer and Marketing Manager in creating and maintaining technical documentation, work instructions, and marketing materials.Pay: $45k-$55k/yr (Based on experience)
Job Description:
Compile, print, and distribute technical documentation for each job, such as installation and owner's manuals, electrical installation manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and more.Assist the Technical Writer in creating and maintaining technical writing-related work instructions, style guides, and version control guidelines.Collaborate with the Technical Writer and Marketing Manager to maintain document version control and ensure consistency across all materials.Proofread technical content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.Form and Content Creation:Assist in the creation and editing of technical forms for Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service, following established style and version control guidelines.Develop graphics, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and other visual elements to enhance technical and marketing assets.Software and Tools:Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, and Adobe Creative Suite to assist in the creation and editing of technical documentation and marketing materials.Stay updated with new tools and technologies relevant to the role.Qualifications:
Requires education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GEDStrong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with technical writing and editing principles.Ability to learn new software and tools quickly.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with technical documentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer).Experience in a technical or engineering environment.Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in creating technical graphics and animations.
