Summary/Responsibilities:

The Quality/Process Technician will support the activities of the Plant Chemist/Quality Manager and Operations Manager in day-to-day floor activities. Responsibilities will be to perform inspections and process audits on a variety of purchased parts, manufactured parts in all areas, finished goods and first articles. The inspection criteria will be based upon engineering/customer drawings, standards, applicable specifications and departmental procedures to assure product/process quality. Additionally, the Quality/Process Technician will communicate with respective departments and co-workers to resolve quality/process related issues and coordinate with internal customers to identify system nonconformance’s and work as a team toward immediate and long-term resolutions.

Monitor product quality through audits, returns, inspection and reports.Perform statistical analysis and capability studies as directed.Maintain and monitor gage calibration system.Provide assistance to operators and other production personnel with training for technical measurement equipment.Perform quality process audits to ensure compliance to procedures and standards.Implement process controls for critical quality characteristics.Maintain and revise documentation as required to comply with A&A and ISO standards.Assist in the corrective action process through root cause analysis and implementation of preventative action.Generate and distribute monthly quality reports to verify system effectiveness and improvement.Participate in continuous improvement/lean initiatives and teams.Participate in Safety teams and audits when required.Insure compliance to environmental standards through communication and understanding of requirements.Assist in new product/process development and launch when required.Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and quality control.Familiar with statistical quality control and statistical analysis.Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to keep accurate records and document findings.Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Good spoken and written English is a must.Additional Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of Polyurethane, Plastics or Rubber molding is preferredBi-Lingual is preferred. Spanish and/or Laotian speaking ability is a plus.Familiarity with polymer/plastics/rubber test equipment and its function is preferred.
