The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute's Department of Cardiology

seeks a faculty member to join the Cardio-Oncology Program (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) at our main academic medical campus in Morgantown, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

The WVU Cardio-Oncology Program has been recognized as an inaugural ICOS Gold Cardio-Oncology Center of Excellence since the distinction's existence. Ample opportunities for academic growth, promotion, and clinical research are available. Dedicated ambulatory Cardio-Oncology clinic responsibilities will be the clinician's focus. This position will also include regular assignments in the faculty rotations to cover inpatient non-invasive services and echocardiography. Multimodal imaging assignments (CMR, Cardiac CT, PET, SPECT) and/or involvement in our other specialty clinics (Cardio-metabolic health clinic, Structural heart clinic etc.) are available for qualified parties. Most off of these activities will include clinical care teaching activities with medical students, residents and fellows.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
