Description
Essential Duties:
Under general supervision, apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and structures throughout the club.
Maintenance and Repair:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint, filling holes, cracks, and joints with appropriate filler. Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings.Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colors.Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, paint rollers, or other methods to achieve required effects. Stain, seal, and varnish wood surfaces.Erect scaffolding, set up ladders, or use hoists to perform tasks above ground level.Pick up and deliver painting supplies.Receive and complete work orders. Identify and complete needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment using established inspection procedures. Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment.Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean and excess materials are removed as needed.Perform other duties as assigned; assist with maintenance as needed.Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform when working.Safety:
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.Requirements

Painting and drywall tools and equipment including brush, roller, spray
equipment, sand and water blaster; small hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments,
electrical meters, test equipment; motor vehicle, doilies, carts, computer.
Posture:
Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and
twisting.
Motion:
Frequent walking, bending, climbing stairs/ladders/scaffolding, grasping/squeezing,
wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving.
Lifting:
Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis.
Environment:
Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent
exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and excessive humidity and dampness, dust,
fumes, smoke, gas, toxic chemicals and materials, solvents, grease, oil; noise, vibration, and
electrical hazards; work around machinery with moving parts, moving objects and vehicles; may
work alone; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours; some holidays
Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress.
Additional Responsibilities:
Dependability is a must for this position. Frequent call ins and no shows are not acceptableSome weekends and evenings will be necessary from time to time.Must have own dependable transportation to and from site. Drop offs and pick ups by your ride are not compatible with our business needs.Qualifications/Education/Certification:
