Job Description: Estimator - Industrial Mechanical ProjectsCompany Overview:

The Sack Company is seeking a highly skilled Estimator with a proven track record in estimating industrial mechanical projects, including millwright/rigging, process piping, utility piping, and structural steel. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in the industrial mechanical field and is proficient in estimating software and project management.Qualifications:5-10 years of experience in the industrial mechanical field as an Estimator and/or Project Manager.Expertise in estimating projects related to millwright/rigging, process piping, utility piping, and structural steel.Proficiency in AutoBid or similar estimating software.Strong skills in the MS Office Suite.A proven track record of successfully winning complex bid projects.Excellent collaboration skills with both internal and external project teams.Benefits:

As an Estimator at The Sack Company, you will play a key role in the financial success of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:Bid Management : Communicate and manage bid deadlines effectively to ensure timely submissions.Conceptual Estimating : Generate accurate material/volume counts, quantities, and labor estimates for complex industrial projects.Subcontractor Coordination : Secure adequate subcontractor pricing coverage for all relevant trades and manage relationships with external partners.Cost Coding : Organize estimates using a standard cost code structure for efficient tracking and reporting.Documentation : Review and complete prequalification documents, RFI deadlines, and other essential bid package components in collaboration with the Senior Estimator.Value Engineering : Identify and propose value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and cost savings.Data Management : Create and maintain organized job estimate folders in AutoBid and a cloud-based storage system.Quality Control : Ensure that estimating checklists are completed and manage the process of updating and archiving estimates.Field Collaboration : Participate in project hand-off meetings and ensure that the project team has all relevant documentation to start the project.Project Set Up/Close Out :Project Transition : Ensure that all estimation documents are transferred to the project team during hand-off meetings.Close-out Meetings : Participate in project close-out meetings to evaluate performance and record lessons learned for future projects.Historical Records : Maintain a historical cost record for future estimating reference and accuracy.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftExperience:mechanical estimating: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred)Work Location: On the road
