In the event you cannot cover a shift please call Assistant Director of Member Services. In the case of no coverage please notify Member Services ASAP so that arrangements can be made for an alternate means of bus transportationArrive 30 minutes before scheduled trip to warm up or cool off the bus and conduct pre-trip inspection. In the winter plan to arrive earlier if there has been a snowstorm in order to clean off the busGreet and help people both on and off the bus. For shopping trips, please assist members with packagesRecord on daily sheet starting and ending mileage, starting and ending times and your initialsPlease use phone only when necessary and never while driving. No personal calls allowed on bus phoneBus keys are held at concierge (front) desk. Keys are to be picked up and returned to the desk after each shift. Store gas receipts in monthly envelope providedTurn in gas envelope to Transportation Coordinator at end of each month. Turn in daily schedule to Transportation Coordinator at the end of each shiftDue to the nature of scheduling, you must give a least a 2 week notice for vacation timeRequired Qualifications:Qualifications:Education: High School or equivalentMust have a current Massachusetts drivers license Class 2 CDL and in good standingPrevious Experience: 1-2 years of related customer service experienceIn addition, employee must successfully pass the CORI check as requested by Orchard Cove. Must be able to pass DOT physical exam. Must attend mandatory in-services provided by Orchard Cove and periodic in-services in order to keep your license currentWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Ability to occasionally move items up to 30 poundsAbility to push an occupied wheelchair and lift an empty wheelchair into trunk of carExposure to various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications:Our ideal candidate also will possess:
