The Radiographic Test (RT) team is growing rapidly to meet our production demands. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, demonstrate leadership, act with integrity and regard safety above all else. Performing radiography in a ship manufacturing facility requires radiation safety to be held in the highest regard for our radiographers.Our radiographers are responsible to lead their crews operations each night with support from their supervisor. RT inspection is performed on some of the most critical components on a nuclear submarine and our radiographers play an integral role in ensuring these parts are safe. It is the job of the Quality department to make sure everything we inspect will get our sailors safely back home.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing internal inspections on pipe and structural weldments using radiographic equipmentSecuring, monitoring and surveying work areas as radiographic testing is being conductedWorking in confined spaces, at heights, carrying up to fifty pounds, climbing, stooping and working in inclement weatherMust demonstrate competency in understanding Electric Boat standards and proceduresConstruction is just getting underway on the new fleet of submarines for our Navy. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skillsWill be required to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goals
