Job Summary:

The EHR Training Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting SRCH staff and providers by offering navigational assistance with the electronic health record (EHR) system. This role aims to reduce workload, boost efficiency, and enhance overall satisfaction for staff and, occasionally, SRCH patients. The EHR Training Specialist independently manages the training for EHR initiatives, educating both new and existing staff and providers on role-specific and site-specific EHR workflows. Training responsibilities include system orientation during onboarding, skills maintenance, quality improvement, and the optimized deployment of EHR for user efficiency and standardization.

In this role, the EHR Training Specialist will work closely with the EHR Team, site directors, medical directors, and managers across all SRCH campuses. They will deliver training on the effective use of the SRCH electronic health record (EHR) system in various formats, including large groups, small groups, and one-on-one sessions. Training sessions may occur in a centralized office, at clinic sites, or remotely. The Specialist will also collaborate with the EHR Team to develop high-quality training materials, manuals, and videos to support end users.

The EHR Training Team works alongside EHR Analysts and Specialists to identify and resolve EHR workflow issues for all SRCH staff. EHR Trainers are expected to align with SRCH's mission of providing excellent, culturally responsive healthcare and adhere to the organization's core values.

Salary Range: $ 66,560- $77,400 per year DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:Training Delivery:

Conduct training for new and existing staff and providers on role-specific and site-specific EHR workflows.Lead training sessions for EHR initiatives including system orientation, skills maintenance, quality improvement, and user optimization.Deliver in-person and remote training in various formats such as large groups, small groups, and one-on-one sessions.

Training Development:

Develop and maintain comprehensive training plans for all users, integrating continuous assessment and skill development.Create and update training materials, manuals, and videos in collaboration with the EHR Team to support end users.Maintain curriculum and resource guides for role-specific and site-specific EHR training.

Workflow Optimization:

Stay updated on EHR workflows and documentation standards to ensure accurate training.Work with EHR Analysts and Specialists to identify and troubleshoot workflow issues.Contribute to EHR meetings and cross-agency committees to support workflow development and rollout strategies.

Collaborative Support:

Collaborate with IT, quality, clinical, and operations teams to enhance EHR functionality and patient engagement.Support quality initiatives and patient care outreach by working with population health specialists.Assist in data clean-up efforts related to UDS reporting, record accuracy, and EHR functionality.

Systems Management:

Stay current with EHR updates, upgrades, and new features.Participate in ongoing training for system advancements and new healthcare technologies.Coordinate with the EHR Team to address and communicate issues affecting system performance.

Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree in a medical-related field, computer science, or information systems preferred, or equivalent work experience.Maintain appropriate EHR certification with initial and ongoing training.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience with EHR systems required.Minimum of 1 year of experience developing workflows within SRCH preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of EHR systems and related technologies.Collaborate with EHR Analyst for workflow clarification during trouble shootingHelp with basic EHR functionality questions onsite and escalate complex problems to EHR Support Analyst.Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.Experience in creating and maintaining training documentation.Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.Required to obtain in the first 90 days:

Position requires flexibility to conduct training in various locations, including centralized training offices, clinic sites, and remotely.May involve occasional travel between SRCH campuses and other sites as needed.Core Values:
